The Trainer

Growing up, I always had a passion for all animals, with my number one being dogs of course. When I was younger and owned my first dog, I began to wonder what it would be like if there was an actual career opportunity where I could work with dogs every day for the rest of my life. I started off working and operating a family owned plumbing and heating business, which I did for 10 years. Although I always had an underlying passion to work with dogs, I will never regret the time I spent in the family business. It provided me with the insight and intuition I needed to learn how to run and operate a business. Working with clients was a large part of my job, and customer service was always a priority. Connecting with my clients was where I began to speak up about my love for dogs, and actually got the opportunity to train some of theirs.

Meet Diesel

I bought my first dog on my own 6 years ago. He’s a rottweiler named Diesel. Now many of you reading this may already be asking yourselves - “why a rottweiler? They’re an aggressive breed.”

One of my main visions is to change common views and perceptions around specific dog breeds because the truth is, there is no breed that is “more aggressive” than another. Through my 7 years of private dog training, and working as a head trainer for a board and train facility, I have come to realize that it’s the owner and handler that are primarily responsible for the temperament of their dog. Diesel is off leash-trained, fantastic with other dogs, and a great help in teaching other dogs about boundaries and limitations before I even have to.

Meet Diesel

It’s been over a year now since I left the plumbing business and I am now 100% focused on dog training and fulfilling my primary goal in life. I am thrilled and honored to teach other owners and their dogs how to find a perfectly balanced relationship, achieve all their objectives and learn that behaviours can always be fixed.
